LNRS Priorities and Measures Explorer
Local Nature Recovery Strategies identify priorities and practical measures for restoring nature. This portal uses Surrey's measures as the reference list for interventions, so every recorded action can be linked back to a priority family and measure code.
Use this page when deciding which measure best describes a proposed intervention, checking the priority code prefix, or browsing the linked action names from the measures lookup.
Priority Families
Using Measures In The Portal
Start by selecting the priority family if you know the habitat type. The intervention measure search will then show only matching Surrey measures. If you pick a measure first, the portal fills the priority code automatically from the measure prefix.
Some intervention questions are conditional. Habitat type and extent fields are shown for habitat creation, restoration, management, protection, farmland and built-environment land management. Tree planting fields are shown only when the intervention and habitat context makes them relevant.
Detailed Measures Table
Search by measure code, priority family, theme, measure text, description, or linked action. Filtering here mirrors the intervention creation form: choosing a priority narrows the available measures.

Priority Species
Search Surrey's priority species by common or scientific name, taxon group, suggested location, or species-specific recovery measure.
